I have nothing to wear. Nuh-thing. You know this feeling, it usually strikes in the blah’s of winter when all the fun occasions (Christmas/New Year’s & V-day) have all passed and you have the extra 5 pounds of chocolates & champagne lingering somewhere on you. The thing is, this feeling is like a double whammy because it hits you in your regular closet, but it also hits you in your lingerie drawer(s), (if you happen to have a full ‘lingerie closet’ or more than 3 drawers then it’s time to go through and do some pre-spring cleaning ASAP). Oh… and by lingerie I am not counting the regular cotton undies and similar items that you wear for comfort and functionality. It’s like the difference between driving your 4 door Volkswagen and taking a Ferrari for a spin. One is safe and comfy whereas in the other all senses are on fire and everything is exciting.
So, take a deep breath, grab your laundry basket and let’s separate anything that’s frayed, elastics are off or anything that does not fit your body to perfection - right now. Everything else you have to try on, and if it does not make you feel 100% ravishingly beautiful, then toss it into the basket.
With the ‘keepers’ pile makes sure you have at least one of the following:
3 fabulous bras you can wear anytime
1 corset or baby doll
6 super sexy panties, (high waisted, crotchless, backless, with garters, cheeky short, creative G-string)
1 ‘2-die-4’ 3 pc set (bra/panty/cinture)
2 playsuits (the super sexy kind when you wear to play and are gasp-inducing)
2 Teddies (you can wear them in the house, under a suit or modified into clubwear)
Some sort of cape/cover up/wrap type see through piece you can experiment with
Your lingerie should be current, never stale, that is why a max of 3 drawers should suffice. I mean they should last longer than a mascara (6 months) but never longer than a lipstick (max 2-year shelf life).
Actually, it’s a good time to explore yourself within the context of lingerie, try different things like you would try chocolates from an assorted Godiva box, without hesitation and only eager anticipation.
After all, is life not like a box of chocolates? (A: Only sweeter with fewer calories😉 )
